Cracker Barrel Associate Marketing Manager - Email in Lebanon, Tennessee

Overview

Cracker Barrel is seeking an Associate Marketing Manager over Email. This position is responsible for end-to-end execution of email marketing campaigns caring for the planning/development, administration/production, and performance optimization/analysis. This role will be required to collaborate with business leads to rapidly develop strategy and execute email campaigns in response to emerging market conditions.

Responsibility

  1. Program Development

  2. Direct the design, automated customization/customer segmentation, messaging, analytics and test-and-learn strategies for email marketing communications.

  3. Stays abreast of latest capabilities in the field of email marketing in order to both educate the organization and evolve the program to best meet the needs of the business.

  4. Manage campaign assets and work with brand leads to meet KPIs.

  5. KPI’s include open rates, click rates, revenue

  6. Develops marketing program strategies

  7. Designs email acquisition plans, segmentation testing, and personalization

  8. Work with marketing leadership to set annual and campaign KPIs

  9. Provide direction/feedback on user experience, design best practices, and template standards

  10. Marketing Program Evaluation and Analysis

  11. Tests new marketing strategies

  12. Develop email performance analysis, acquisition, strategies and testing agenda for email

  13. Tests customer programs for business growth

  14. Collect and report analytics data to determine activity/trends;

  15. Provide monthly, quarterly and campaign reporting for performance and revenue goals along with recommendations for future emails

  16. Analyze report data to determine future strategies

  17. Recommend and implement A/B testing for all managed brands

  18. Program Administration

  19. Work closely with marketing managers to support campaigns and brand priorities, including strategizing and executing marketing automation campaigns

  20. Serve as a liaison between CBOCS and email service provider (Salesforce to ensure the use of current industry standards and technologies as providedsuch as responsive design and marketing automation, provide strategic and cutting-edge recommendations for brands, minimize expenses

  21. Benchmark competitors and recommend tactics to increase conversion

  22. Handle any issues or problems associated with our ESP

  23. Validate functionality and appearance across browsers and platforms, and ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations

  24. Ensure best practices are applied for calls to action, effective copy, optimized landing pages and email templates

  25. Create and maintain campaign/project budgets, review and timelines

Qualifications

Four year degree from an accredited college (or equivalent experience) with a concentration in business or marketing.

  • Knowledge of best practices for email creative and templates, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies

  • Strong project management, Excel and communication skills

  • Experience with managing a team both directly and indirectly

  • Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking

  • Proven expertise leveraging a marketing automation tool (SalesForce, Exact Target, etc.) to create multi-step customer retention campaigns, lead scoring models, and logic based customer journeys

  • Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, specifically A|B testing, KPI tracking and ROI analysis

  • Strategic CRM-focus and can suggest creative solutions in-line with business objectives

  • Self-starter with ability to thrive under pressure in a fast paced environment

  • Strong understanding of HTML design for email and experience with third-party a plus
