Cracker Barrel is seeking a Manager, Consumer Insights to join our team at the Home Office. This individual will be responsible for the development, management and implementation of the company’s market research and insights plan to determine the effectiveness of marketing and business objectives. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry and a background in advanced analytics.
Provides independent project design and analytical leadership for a variety of custom and syndicated research to guide business building decisions.
Represents Business & Consumer Insights in meetings and presentations to identify strategic implications and insights that apply to business issues to optimize brand initiatives and all aspects of the guest experience.
Manages the guest satisfaction program through the use of various data collection methods (vendor research, survey data, and focus groups) and executes research studies
Designs and develops the overall research program, defines the objectives and goals of the studies, establishes the methodologies and process
Directs efforts of external third party vendors in execution of the research program from start to finish
Analyzes, interprets, and develop reports to support presentation of findings
Conducts analysis to identify trends (emerging industries, societal, psychological) and determine impact on company sales
Identify marketing opportunities from trend analysis results
Conducts ad hoc analysis at the request of senior management
Plans, develops, manages and executes market research budget
Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years marketing or analytical role experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrates ability to analyze, synthesize and report on consumer or business data using advanced technology such as statistical or big data software.
Experience with wide range of methodologies and techniques. Led and/or designed projects with experimental methodologies.
Able to confidently and regularly present and explain results from complex projects to executive leaders. Able to translate business questions into insights plan to deliver actionable outcomes.
Effectively communicates consumer attitudes, perceptions and motivations to internal and external teams. Viewed as valuable member of cross-functional teams.
Past experience directly managing employees or leading strategic relationship with external vendors.
Develop and nurture relationships with both operations and brand cross-functional teams to remain informed of initiatives and contribute relevant insights and information to guide decision-making.
