Cracker Barrel Recipe Coordinator in Lebanon, Tennessee

Overview

Cracker Barrel is seeking a Recipe Coordinator who will be responsible for the production and on-time delivery of all test recipe materials and national rollout recipe materials. This person will Collaborate with the Training and Operations departments to create and manage testing and rollout material timelines for Brand-wide Promotional Window rollouts. You will also support and manage Culinary Operations agenda, balancing short and long term needs/priorities and continually evaluate existing BOH recipes and training materials to identify opportunities and create action plans to improve.

Responsibility

Training Material Development: Tests and Promotional Rollouts

  • Responsible for the production and on-time delivery of all test recipe materials and national rollout recipe materials

  • Ensures all changes post-test are accurately captured in training materials.

  • Balances multiple projects and deadlines through prioritization

  • Attends cross-functional meetings pertaining to tests and rollouts

  • Works closely with Operations and Training to create and manage testing and rollout material timelines

  • Maintain and update recipe database

Continued Optimization of BOH

  • Continually evaluates existing BOH recipes and training materials to identify opportunities and create action plans to improve

  • Supports cross-functional teams with training materials for in-restaurant testing of products/initiatives such as, but not limited to:

  • Food cost management systems and practices

  • Equipment evaluation

Miscellaneous Projects as Directed

  • Miscellaneous projects such as, but not limited to:

  • Assistance with formal / informal food tastings

  • Assistance with training sessions

  • Cross Functional Project support such as, but not limited to:

  • Off-premise/catering initiatives

  • QA partnership/product evaluation

  • Other miscellaneous projects that support Brand strategy

Qualifications

3 + years recipe writing / instructional design experience; Possess an intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office products used for developing instructional courseware (e.g., Publisher, Word, PowerPoint); daily food service/in-restaurant operations experience a plus. CBOCS Experience preferred. Bachelors or Culinary Arts degree a plus.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, in both written and verbal mediums Strong attention to grammar and context in written materials

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • General knowledge of proper food safety (handling and storage)

  • General knowledge of restaurant equipment and operations

  • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in a fast paced environment
